In today’s market, finding a well-priced car is a breath of fresh air, and the i20 N Line offers just that. Its sporty design, turbocharged engine, and feature-packed interior make it a delightful and fun-to-drive hatchback. The N6 MT variant is especially appealing for those seeking an exciting driving experience on a budget, while the DCT option caters to those with deeper pockets.

For enthusiasts of value-for-money, compact, and fun-to-drive vehicles, the i20 N Line is a compelling option. Recently, the Fronx 1.0L turbo-petrol model proved to be a blast to drive, further emphasizing Hyundai’s commitment to delivering thrilling driving experiences.

The introduction of the base-spec Era trim in the i20 lineup also brings down the starting price by Rs 47,000 compared to the outgoing Magna trim. Depending on the chosen trim, the i20 facelift commands a premium ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 27,000 over the previous model.

Exterior Design

The i20 facelift features updates primarily to its soft plastic components. Notable changes include a redesigned front grille with a prominent black surround connecting it to the headlamps. The top-spec trim now sports full LED headlights with revised LED daytime running lamp signatures.381372758_893190248903217_2061481279353382760_n The Hyundai logo has been relocated from the grille to the base of the bonnet, featuring a new 2D design. The front bumper boasts two large arrow-shaped inlets (though it no longer includes fog lamps), and the front chin showcases a more prominent splitter-like element. Profile changes are minimal, but new 16-inch alloy wheels give the car a fresh look. At the rear, a revised bumper with a prominent dual-tone finish repositioned reflectors, and a faux-silver skid plate completes the design updates.

The i20 facelift is available in a new Amazon Grey paint shade, alongside existing color options such as Atlas White, Titan Gray, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, and Fiery Red. Dual-tone variants with Atlas White + Black Roof and Fiery Red + Black Roof are also on offer.

Interior and Features

While the interior design remains largely unchanged, the i20 facelift introduces a new dual-tone black and grey finish for the dashboard and semi-leatherette seat upholstery on the top-spec trim. This adjustment aims to create a more spacious and appealing cabin environment.382074456_711808327633871_3736017230997787534_n Hyundai has also added a physical knob for volume control at the base of the touchscreen, replacing the previous haptic touch buttons.

In terms of features, the i20 facelift offers revised ambient lighting, leatherette padding on the door armrests, puddle lamps with a welcome function, and Hyundai’s ‘Sounds of Nature’ feature. Other amenities include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, an all-digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a seven-speaker Bose sound system, a wireless phone charger, a single-pane sunroof, and automatic climate control. The vehicle also boasts 60+ connected features, OTA updates, voice commands, and Type-C charging ports.

Safety features are extensive and include six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, hill assist control, three-point seatbelts, seatbelt reminders for all seats, a reverse parking camera, TPMS, and automatic headlamps with escort function. Hyundai offers a three-year/1,00,000km warranty with the option to extend it further.

Engine and Specs

The i20 facelift comes with a single petrol engine option, and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated unit. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. This engine delivers 83hp with the manual transmission and 88hp with the CVT, along with 115Nm of peak torque.
