Today is a momentous day for MotoGP India, as riders from around the world gather at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Noida for the final race of the MotoGP Bharat event. Yesterday, George Martin secured the number 1 position in the sprint race, setting the stage for today’s thrilling final race.
Notably, there’s great anticipation among both organizers and spectators for a possible world record-breaking performance in today’s race. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present at this crucial event.
The action at the BIC begins with a warm-up race between 11:10 AM and 11:20 AM. Following that, at 11:30 AM, there will be a rider fan parade, attracting enthusiasts from all over the world.
Due to high temperatures and humidity yesterday, some riders requested that the race distance be reduced. In response to rider feedback, adjustments were made to the racing laps. Additionally, heavy rainfall in Noida before the practice session and sprint race temporarily delayed the event.
Today, the laps have been modified once again, raising hopes for a world record-breaking performance on this exceptional racing track. The Buddh International Circuit boasts 8 right turns and 5 left turns, adding an extra layer of excitement to the race. It is hoped that today, the MotoGP world record will be shattered on this track.
It’s worth noting that the current record is held by Red Bull KTM Team’s Brad Binder, who achieved a speed of 366.1 km/h this season. During yesterday’s sprint race, some riders touched the 300 km/h mark, raising expectations that the world record could be broken on Indian soil.
