NEC to Unveil Cutting-Edge Farming Machinery at LAMMA 2024
The West Midlands is gearing up to showcase the latest advancements in farming machinery at the NEC Birmingham on January 17-18 during LAMMA 2024. Visitors to the event will have the exclusive opportunity to be among the first in the UK to witness the unveiling of new models by renowned machinery brands.
Event director Sarah Whittaker-Smith expressed excitement about the upcoming showcase, stating, “LAMMA 2024 will provide the first opportunity to get up close with some of the industry’s newest machines. This year is particularly exciting as we welcome back JCB, Case IH, New Holland, and Massey Ferguson to the halls of the NEC, Birmingham.”
JCB is set to feature some of its latest machines, including the Loadall 542-70 AGRI Pro telescopic handler, TM 420S telescopic wheeled loader, and 457S high-performance wheeled loading shovel. Meanwhile, Case IH will launch its powerful production tractor, the Quadtrac 715 AFS Connect, boasting an upgraded cab, longer heavy-duty tracks, and increased fuel capacity – designed for enhanced productivity.
New Holland will present its award-winning CR11 combine, which received accolades at Agritechnica 2023, including the prestigious Gold Medal for Innovation. Additionally, the Vendro C 1120, a new 10-rotor tedder from Krone, will make its debut at LAMMA 2024. This compact yet high-performing tedder offers exceptional operational reliability, maximum output, and optimized forage quality.
A highlight of the event is the unveiling of the Bednar DIRECTO NO 6000, a direct drill designed for seeding various crops directly into uncultivated soil, stubble fields, catch crops, or heavy and rocky soils. The drill, when combined with the optional Alfa drill 400 seeding unit, can plant up to three types of seed in one pass, with the added capability of applying fertilizer during seeding using unique fertilizer discs.
