Transmission system | Power Transmission System | Driving System
The Power Developed inside the engine cylinder is ultimately aimed to turn the wheel so that the motor Vehicle can move on the road the reciprocating motion of the piston turns a crankshaft rotating the flywheel through the connecting rod. the circular motion of the crankshaft is now to be transmitted to the rear wheels. It is transmitted through the clutch, Gearbox, universal joint, propeller Shaft or Drive Shaft, Differential and axles extending to the Wheel the application of engine power to the driving Wheel through all these parts is called power Transmission.
Power Transmission Parts Name
- Fly Wheel
- Clutch
- Gear Box
- Propeller Shaft
- Universal Coupling
- Final Drive
- Differential
- Cooling System
- Axle
Flywheel:– It works as power storing produce. The Flywheel and pressure plate are driving member they attech to and rotate with the engine crankshaft.
Clutch:- To make Engage Disengage Between Flywheel and Gearbox to normal condition Clutch Remain engage press the clutch padie is disengage the power supply it is a junction.
Gear box– Torque, Speed. At the cost of speed we can get more torqe in first gear . at the cost of torque we get more speed in top gear ratio
Propeller Shaft- Are used in Parts to provide directional flexibility and more strength. it is used in two or three parts they are connected by universal coupling
Final Drive– For same extent we can decrease the speed of engine in final drive
It change the power ( Rotetion motion) at 90 and give to the driving
Differential– While Vehicle Is moving on corved path with respect to the inner Wheel outer wheel should have to cover more distance then inner wheel with is same interval of time
this types of situation is made possible by using a system in rear axle (driving axle) called Differential.
