MG Astor Mind Blowing Features REVEALED
Morris Garages (MG Motor) has unveiled its most affordable SUV, the MG Astor, in the Indian market as part of its updated vehicle portfolio for the new year. With a starting price of INR 9.98 lakhs (ex-showroom) across five variants – Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro – the MG Astor brings several enhancements compared to its predecessor.
While the exterior design remains unchanged, the new MG Astor introduces various features to enhance its appeal. Ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and auto-dimming features within the rearview mirror are some of the notable additions.
In addition to these upgrades, the MG Astor incorporates an advanced user interface and includes the I-SMART 2.0 system with over 80 in-car connected updates. The voice command-enabled Jio Voice Recognition System offers information on weather, cricket updates, calculator, time, date, horoscope, dictionary, news, and more.
An anti-theft feature has been introduced, enhancing the SUV’s safety with a digital key function that operates without internet connectivity. The MG Astor already boasts Artificial Intelligence (AI) assist and ADAS Level-2 autonomous features, facilitated by mid-range radar and multi-purpose cameras.
The company claims that this 5-seater SUV is equipped with 49 safety features, and its interior has been further upgraded, featuring a large touchscreen infotainment system. The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 108 bhp power and 144 Nm torque, available with a 5-speed manual and CVT transmission.
Additionally, the SUV comes with a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine, generating 138 bhp power and 220 Nm torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed automatic transmission. MG Motor aims to provide a premium and technologically advanced driving experience with the new MG Astor in the Indian automotive market.
